Eurovision to Distribute Dutch Football


(15 July 2005) Eurovision, the operational department of the EBU, has signed a three-year distribution contract for the Dutch Eredivisie with WK Production.

The deal is for the co-ordination and distribution of over 100 matches per season into Europe, Asia and the Americas. In addition, a weekly highlights package will be distributed throughout the season.

Stefan Kürten, director of Eurovision Operations, said, "Eurovision is delighted to be involved in the international co-ordination and distribution of the principle Dutch league. This further strengthens an existing relationship with WK Production and we look forward to the coming years."

Eurovision will be using its global network of satellites including Eutelsat W3A, Asiasat 2, News Skies 806 as well as its recently completed FiNE international fibre network.
