a result of the government of the Republic of Koreas active efforts to
participate in the Galileo Project, a new satellite system
currently being pursued by the EU with a goal of commencing services in 2008,
for the past six months, the two sides agreed on and initialled the draft of
the Korea-EC Co-operation Agreement on a Civil Global Navigation
Satellite System on January 12, 2006.
