Bill Flynn Joins
Americom Government Services to Lead Navy Programs
(8 May 2008) Bill Flynn, after more
than 25 years of Navy experience, has joined Americom Government Services, Inc.
(AGS) as Director of Navy Programs in their offices in McLean,
VA.
Flynn comes to AGS from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems
Command (SPAWAR) where he served as Director for the organisation's Washington
Operations Office. Prior to his assignment to SPAWAR, Flynn held leadership and
program management positions within the Office of Naval Intelligence, the
Defense Threat Reduction Agency and the Chief of Naval Operations. He is a
retired Naval Officer, who served in the Submarine force.
Dave Jackson,
Chief Operating Officer of AGS, remarked, "We are pleased to have hired someone
with Bill's leadership experience to join us at such an important time. He will
play an integral role in our growing business to further develop and implement
solutions for the Navy."
Flynn will be responsible for directing all AGS
custom network, hosted payload and transponder solutions offered to the U.S.
Navy and will continue to pursue innovative approaches to meet the Navy's
satellite communications requirements.
"AGS's experience providing the
Navy with solutions for their Commercial Wideband Satellite Communications
Program and TV Direct to Sailor gives us an exceptional understanding of afloat
fleet warfighter requirements," Flynn said. "The Navy's world-wide operations
present robust, far-reaching communication challenges. AGS has the experience
and the know-how to address these requirements."
"AGS takes pride in
understanding the critical nature of the Navy's communication capabilities and
giving something extra to meet their mission needs," Flynn continued. "We look
forward to the challenge of matching AGS solutions to their future
requirements."
