Americom Government
Services Hires Angela Steever To Lead Government Contracts
(8 May 2008) Americom Government
Services, Inc. (AGS) today announced that Angela Steever has joined as Director
of Contracts in their offices in McLean, VA.
Steever's
experiences include warranted contracting service to the Central Intelligence
Agency and operations assistance at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France, and most
recently she performed contract negotiations and proposal preparations for Booz
Allen Hamilton.
Michael Cade, Vice President of Business Operations for
AGS, remarked, "Angela's years as a warranted contracting officer, followed by
private sector experience, enables her to bring both perspectives to AGS. We
are currently refining our internal processes for operating in the government
space - I trust Angela will have a large impact on our new business
model."
As Director of Contracts for AGS, Steever will focus on
contracting issues with complex negotiations and will ensure compliance with
the Federal Acquisitions Regulations. Similar duties at AGS were previously
performed by an in-house attorney. With the increase in government business and
contracts, the company decided to acquire the support of a government contracts
expert.
Steever explained, "There are substantial differences between
commercial and contract practices. To successfully compete in the federal
marketplace, a firm must have in-house expertise to interpret government
requirements and regulations." With 100% of AGS's business serving government
end-users, these skills sets and expertise will serve as a great resource for
the growing company.
