Micronetics Receives
A US$ 1.2M Order For Space Qualified Microwave Components
(12 March 2008) Micronetics, Inc.
announced today that its subsidiary Mica Microwave, Inc. has booked an order
from a leading space systems integrator.
This order, totalling
US$ 1.2M, is for a combination of mixers, isolators and limiters for use on a
space satellite application.
David Robbins, President of Micronetics,
stated, "This order validates Mica's continued reputation as a qualified
supplier within the space community. We intend to continue to expand our
product offerings to the space marketplace, leveraging the skill set present at
our Mica manufacturing facility."
This order is scheduled to ship over a
12-month period.
Micronetics manufactures microwave and radio frequency
(RF) components and integrated subassemblies used in a variety of defense,
aerospace and commercial applications. Micronetics also manufactures and
designs test equipment and components that test the strength, durability and
integrity of communication signals in communications equipment. Micronetics
serves a diverse customer base, including Aerosat, Airspan, BAE Systems,
Boeing, EADS, General Dynamics, Harris, IPWireless, ITT, L-3 Communications,
Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Qualcomm, Raytheon, Teradyne, Tektronix,
Thales and UTStarcom.
