AOS To Offer Vizada Products And Services On GSA Schedule

(21 April 2008) AOS Inc., a leading provider of highly secure, customised, turnkey network mobility and communications solutions, program management, IT consulting and managed network services, today announced the addition of products and services from satellite communications provider Vizada to its General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule.

An AOS partner and provider for over a decade, Vizada is the world-wide leading global satellite communications provider with more market share on more satellite networks than any other provider.

As a GSA schedule contract holder, AOS directly supplies products to federal entities at volume discount pricing, without the need for individual contracts for each order. Thanks to this new agreement, AOS now offers through the GSA schedule Vizada's satellite communications equipment and services from satellite network operators such as Thuraya, Iridium, and Inmarsat, including Inmarsat's Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) IP-based broadband data service, and more.

"Vizada's solutions are an excellent complement to our growing schedule portfolio of technologies and services," said Brian Lasagna, Corporate Development Director for AOS. "GSA approval will make it easier for our current federal customers to purchase Vizada's products and services from us, and allows us to reach buyers we've not yet been able to service".

"Government users have more purchasing choices now that they can use the GSA schedule to order Vizada services from AOS," said Bo Norton, Vice President, Government Sales for Vizada Americas. "AOS is a key Vizada partner and we are mutually committed to providing innovative, accessible and reliable satellite communications for our government and commercial users."

The GSA supplies products and communications for U.S. government offices, provides transportation and office space to federal employees, and develops government wide cost-minimising policies. Under the GSA Schedules Program, GSA establishes long-term government wide contracts with commercial firms to provide access to over 11 million commercial supplies (products) and services that can be ordered directly from GSA Schedule contractors.
