Integral Systems Hires Richard Wathen As Vice President Of Mergers & Acquisitions

(22 April 2008) Integral Systems, Inc., today announced the hiring of Richard Wathen as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions.

This new role supports the company's strategic vision to strengthen its leadership position through M&A activity. Wathen will report directly to Integral's CEO, Alan Baldwin.

"To support the increase in revenues and profitability by acquisition and organic growth that we've outlined in our strategic plan, we needed a strong M&A executive like Rich," said Alan Baldwin, CEO of Integral Systems. "With his strong track record in acquiring software product and technology services companies, we know that he can help us continue to maintain our current growth."

Wathen is a senior business executive with more than 20 years experience leading all financial aspects of emerging and mid-size technology companies. Most recently from 2005 to 2007, he served as the CFO of GlobalLogic Inc., when the offshore product development company grew from US$ 10 million to US$ 50 million in annual revenue and completed several key acquisitions.

From 1999 to 2004, Wathen served as the CFO for netASPx, a US$ 50 million managed technology services company, where he led the selection, acquisition, and integration of nine companies over an eight-month period, including merger, stock, and asset purchases. While serving as the Director of Corporate Development at Legent Corporation (1992 to 1995), the firm acquired six software companies, with Wathen conducting the technical, marketing, and due diligence evaluations.

Earlier in his career, Wathen supported IBM's Federal Systems Division's Global Positioning Satellite program. He was on the bid team for one of the program's key wins.

Wathen holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in Political Science from Kenyon College.
