Amos-3 is an Israeli commercial communications satellite, owned
and operated by Spacecom.
Amos-3 weighed 1,270 kg at launch. It will be
deployed in the same orbital slot as Amos-1 and Amos-2. Amos-3 will offer
additional capacity, coverage areas, and advanced capabilities such as two
wideband Ka-band beams of up to 500 MHz each and 12 Ku band 72MHz transponders
with steerable beams for global coverage. Amos-3's steerable beams will provide
global coverage and the flexibility to meet Spacecom's customers changing
needs.
