globecommGlobecomm announces executive leadership changes

(3 March 2016) Globecomm Systems today announced that Keith A. Hall is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer and that Current Chief Financial Officer, Jason D. Juranek, will serve as Interim Chief Executive Officer.

The board has retained a leading global executive search firm to assist in the evaluation of both internal and external candidates. Mr. Hall will continue to be a resource for the Company during this interim period to ensure a smooth transition.

“We want to thank Keith for his leadership and dedication to Globecomm for nearly 20 years, including as CEO for the last two years,” said the Globecomm Board of Directors. “As we begin our comprehensive search for our next CEO, we are confident that Jason’s extensive industry experience, financial acumen, and in-depth knowledge of our business make him well suited to guide Globecomm in the months ahead.”

Mr. Juranek, who will also continue to serve as CFO said, “Our vision and strategy remains unchanged and we will continue to deliver outstanding solutions to government, industrial and commercial markets worldwide. I look forward to working with our talented team to support the Company in its next phase of development.”

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Hall said, “I am honored to have had the opportunity to lead Globecomm and work with such an exceptional group of people. I wish Globecomm and its employees every continued success.”

About Jason D. Juranek

Prior to joining Globecomm, Mr. Juranek served as Vice President Division Chief Financial Officer of Harris CapRock a provider of comprehensive communications in remote and harsh environments serving Oil and Gas, Maritime and Government markets; a division of Harris Corporation. Mr. Juranek provided financial leadership globally and also led efforts on strategy, merger and acquisitions and managed select channel partners architecting their High Throughput satellite strategy. During his tenure, Mr. Juranek also served as Strategic Growth Officer focused on driving the strategic plan and initiatives; Integration Executive managing acquisitions and cross-functional teams that successfully closed the Schlumberger Global Connectivity Services and Core180 acquisitions, and; was VP of Finance and Treasury. His career spans over 20 years working with public and privately-held organizations to accelerate growth strategies, financial disciplines, financial operations and merger and acquisition strategies.

Prior to Harris CapRock, Mr. Juranek held various senior financial management positions at Tribalco, Vangent, General Dynamics and DynCorp. Mr. Juranek earned his Executive MBA from George Washington University and also holds an MS in Accounting and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
